There are total 57 seats for Senior Residents. The seats are divided for different categories like UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS. Also, 5 percent of seats are reserved for PwBD candidates. If no EWS candidate comes, the seat will go to a UR candidate.
Age Limit and Relaxation: The maximum age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates. There is age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates. For PwBD candidates, the relaxation is 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC or ST.

- Senior Resident: You need a Medical Degree (MD, MS, DNB) in the related subject. You must have this degree from a recognized university. You also need a valid registration with NMC or State Medical Council before joining.
For Trauma and Emergency department, candidates with MD, MS, or DNB in Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, or Orthopedics can also apply.
- The selection will be done through a Walk-in Interview at AIIMS Gorakhpur.
- If there are too many applications, a Written Test may be conducted to shortlist candidates.
- The decision of the Executive Director will be final.
- Fill the application form and Bio Data form given in the notification.
