Essential Qualification
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen) (JSA)
- 10+2/XII or equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer typing: 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
- Junior Stenographer (JSG)
- 10+2/XII or equivalent.
- Proficiency in stenography: Dictation at 80 w.p.m.
- Transcription: 50 mins (English) or 65 mins (Hindi).
A 3-year diploma after 10th standard from a recognized institution is treated as equivalent to 10+2/XII.
Selection Process
- For Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen):
- Proficiency in typing test (qualifying).
- Competitive written exam (Paper-I and Paper-II).
- Paper-I (Mental Ability Test): 100 questions, 200 marks, 90 mins, no negative marks.
- Paper-II (General Awareness & English Language): 50 questions each, 150 marks each, 1 hour, negative marking.
- Final merit based on Paper-II, after qualifying typing test.
- For Junior Stenographer:
- Proficiency test in stenography (qualifying).
- Competitive written exam (One paper with three parts).
- Exam Parts: General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), English Language & Comprehension (100 marks). Total 200 marks, 2 hours, negative marking.
- Final merit based on written exam, after qualifying stenography test.
