| 1. Preliminary Exam (objective) |
- The Preliminary Examination (Objective type) will be held first. Successful candidates in the Preliminary Exam (Objective type) will be admitted to the Main Examination.
- The Preliminary Examination (Objective type) may be held at examination centers in the cities of Haridwar, Dehradun, Srinagar, Rudrapur and Haldwani, as per Appendix-04.
- The question paper for the preliminary examination will be objective type, negative marking will be applied for wrong answers in the objective type question papers

| 2. Mains Exam |
- General Studies : objective type Exam duration is 03 hours
- Hindi Composition : Traditional type Exam duration is 03 hours
- Essay : Traditional type Exam duration is 03 hours
