Essential Qualification
- President, State Consumer Commission:
- Must be or have been a High Court Judge.
- Judicial Member, State Consumer Commission:
- Min 10 years experience as District Court Presiding Officer or similar.
- General Member, State Consumer Commission:
- Graduate degree.
- Person of ability, integrity, and standing.
- Min 10 years experience in consumer affairs, law, or related fields.
- President, District Consumer Commission:
- Must be, have been, or qualified to be a District Court Judge.
- Member, District Consumer Commission:
- Graduate degree.
- Person of ability, integrity, and standing.
- Min 10 years experience in consumer affairs, law, or related fields.
Selection Process
- The selection will involve an offline competitive examination.
- This includes an Objective Type Paper (Paper 1: 100 marks, 2 hours).
- Followed by a Descriptive Type Paper (Paper 2: 100 marks, 3 hours).
- Candidates must get 50% in Paper 1 for Paper 2 to be checked.
- A minimum of 50% marks in each paper is needed to qualify.
- There will also be an Interview (50 marks).
- Exam papers for State Commission and District Commission posts will be different.
